The Department of Regional Australia, Regional Development and Local Government has released the first version of the myregion website for public use.
myregion (www.myregion.gov.au) is managed by the Department of Regional Australia, Regional Development and Local Government.
The website aims to support the Australian Government’s Commitment to Regional Australia and the Department’s vision and commitment to empower each of Australia’s regions and local communities to be their best.
myregion has been developed as a central place for Australians to explore, understand, discuss and influence the future of their regions – exploring government data about individual regions and supporting conversation between people in their communities and with governments.
We need your help to make myregion successful, which is why we’re inviting you to visit www.myregion.gov.au to participate in blogs and forums and tell us what you think; both of the website and of the region you’re from.
We’d appreciate if you shared your thoughts on what your community does well and the challenges it may face. myregion has been designed to be your website to share your views with and about your community and the more you participate, the more useful myregion will be.
Please note that this is the first release of myregion. Additional features will be developed and added over coming months. We would also appreciate your thoughts and ideas on how to improve myregion, making it more useful for you as it grows. You can make suggestions and vote on the suggestions of others using our website ideas system at www.myregion.gov.au/ideas
Visit myregion to become part of your region’s conversation. We look forward to listening to you.
