Regional Development Australia Whyalla and Eyre Peninsula have negotiated with the State Government and Business SA to bring the high quality Business SA Coaching and Mentoring Program to Whyalla. This will be the first time the program has been delivered outside Adelaide and business owners in Whyalla and the surrounding region are urgently needed to take up this opportunity.
The program is a well-established skills development and networking program specifically designed for entrepreneurial Small and Medium business owners who aim to grow their business. It is a high quality program which has been available to businesses in Adelaide for many years. Structured training and mentoring delivered by an experienced business coach, is included, there is also an added benefit of networking with other entrepreneurs and businesses of similar size.
A minimum of ten businesses are required to participate to make the program a success. Skills development topics will be determined by the group and will target specific areas of interest depending on the size and types of businesses in the group. A list of potential topics includes marketing, e-commerce, sales, cash flow management, business planning, staff management, time management, leadership, customer service and business processes.
This program has been designed for business owners, CEOs, or Managing Directors of businesses with an annual turnover of $300,000 or more, who are looking to expand their business. The sessions are typically run out of normal business hours, and managers who operate their businesses are encouraged to attend.
The program will begin in mid February if a group of 10 businesses can commit to the program. Rebates apply to reduce the overall cost of the program to $900 for 10, three hour training sessions (held monthly) with additional networking events, coaching/mentoring support and several high profile entrepreneurs as guest speakers. This means that total cost for each business will be less than $90 per session.
