Cuttlefish Interpretive Centre: Community Consultation on now

An interactive display about the Cuttlefish Interpretive Centre project will be held at the new Whyalla Library from Sunday 19 February for a four week period concluding on Sunday 18 March. The same information display is also available via the website including an online survey to collect your feedback and ideas on the project.  Click here to read more about the project.

Clean Technology Program

The Clean Technology Investment Programs will provide merit based grants to help manufacturing businesses to invest in low-carbon and energy efficient equipment, processes and products.  The Programs are expected to be open to applications in early 2012.

Pre-Employment Training in Mining & Heavy Industry

A Pre-Employment Training project (PET) that will support 50 local unemployed people into heavy industry and mining focused pathways and employment while providing local industry with a much needed human resource pool will be delivered in 2012.

RDAWEP held their Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 10 October 2011 and accordingly endorsed the presented Annual Report including the audited financial report for 2010-11.

RDA are currently calling for expressions of interest for RDA Committee members.  Interested community members, existing RDA members whose terms are expiring and previous applicants are encouraged to submit an expressions of interest by COB Friday 16 September 2011.

Whyalla and Eyre Peninsula Regional Plan

Regional Development Australia - Whyalla and Eyre Peninsula is required to review and update the Regional Profile plan on an annual basis as a part of the contract with the Commonwealth. This review has taken place with the Board endorsing the revised edition on 26 August 2011.
